For the tenth running of this ever popular series, we've made a few changes! BRAND NEW routes and a BRAND NEW venue will mean each event offers you something you haven't done before. The series will cover six 'mini-Sportives' to take us through the winter - with one event a month taking place in October, November, December, January, February and March.
The format is designed to be simple, and cheap!! There will be no electronic timing or feed stations, and the routes won't be the gut busting ones you'd expect in the height of summer - but other than that, they'll be everything else you expect from a sportive. With a choice of two well marked routes, mechanical back-up, free energy products for each rider and much more.
And when you get back from each ride, there will be hot drinks and food waiting for you. Due to the change of venue for 2019/2020 we've reduced the capacity of each event to just 100 riders - but mantained the entry fee of just £9.50 per event.. And with ride distances being between 45 and 65 miles (two route options on each event) they are the ideal way to make sure you continue to get those big rides in at least once a month.
EVENT VENUE:
The Performance Cycles Winter Mini-Sportive Series starts and finishes in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park in the village of Ashton Keynes, at the following address:
Bradstone Pavillion
8 Rixon Gate
Ashton Keynes
SN6 6PH
This great venue means that included in your £9.50 entry fee (as well as the food, route signage etc) is plenty of parking, changing facilities and showers!!
The events will be very relaxed, starting at 9am (with registration from 8.30am) with the aim of getting you all back by just after lunch / early afternoon. The perfect way to clock up those much needed winter miles.
Events will take place on the following days...
Sunday 27th October 2019
Sunday 17th November 2019
Sunday 15th December 2019
Sunday 12th January 2020
Sunday 9th February 2020
Sunday 15th March 2020
Registration:
Registration opens at 8.30am on the morning of the event - where you'll be given details for the days ride.
Event Info:
The route will be fully signed with a support vehicle out should you need a hand, however this is for emergency recovery only and you should be full self-sufficient on the ride. As the routes are only 45 and 65 miles there will be no feed stations - but there are plenty of places on the route for you to stop if needed. Please note that we cannot send out .gpx / sat nav files in advance of the event - as we may have to make last minute (major!!) changes to the route due to weather and road conditions.
When you get back from the ride there will be hot food (Dave's now famous bacon butties!!), drinks and cake waiting for you.
To enter, simply click the links to the right of the list of dates (above) to be taken through to the EntryCentral online entry system. During checkout you will be able to enter more than one event in the series at a time to make it easier for you.
