Test: embedding an image in the main forum post

Just seeing if this works. Here's one of my bikes, pulling another of my bikes.

I took the above from the Pictures of your Bike forum topic so it would already be hosted somewhere. Now adding an image from my first comment to this new topic. Taken at about mile 170 of a 177 mile day riding to downtown Chicago, IL, USA.

Test image in response to HoarseMann's question.

Yes. Basic procedure is to put the text format dropdown in "Plain text" mode, add/edit the <img... tag, then put it back in "Filtered HTML" mode before saving. If you add the <img... tag while in "Filtered HTML" mode, it replaces the <> symbols with &lt; and &gt; .

Just use square brackets around the IMG and /IMG instead.

If you delete this newly posted image comment, does the original image remain on the server and still appear in the main post?

(ie. Does deleting the comment leave the image, as opposed to deleting the image from the comment?)
