Tour de France video round-up, including on-board Paris footage from Chris Froome

Michael Rogers encourages Peter Sagan to do a trick, while Sky riders talk about racing in the mountains

Velon’s on-bike videos throughout this year’s Tour de France have added an extra dimension to coverage of the race – and that continued yesterday, with the bike of yellow jersey winner Chris Froome equipped with a Go Pro camera to capture the action.

The Team Sky man wasn’t the only rider whose bike sported a camera yesterday, and there’s also footage of André Greipel’s celebrations after he crossed the finish line on the Champs-Elysées first to claim what is often termed the unofficial sprinters’ world championship.

Tinkoff-Saxo’s Michael Rogers also had a camera on his bike – here he is having a chat with team mate and points classification winner Peter Sagan as the peloton rolled slowly towards Paris, including encouraging him to do a trick – although it’s perhaps not the most spectacular one we’ve ever seen him perform.

Meanwhile, Sky’s latest Inside the Tour de France video, released yesterday, gives the riders’ views on racing in the mountains, whether from the sharp end – Froome and Richie Porte – or in the gruppetto, with Luke Rowe and Ian Stannard talking about life at the less glamorous end of the race.

I didn't think it was possible to find a more uncomfortable viewpoint to watch Froome's riding style from but you've gone and done it, well done.

Mounting a camera on Froome's stem is a work of comedy genius.

Although I wonder if Michelle gets jealous.

Or recognises the facial expressions.
