#mycyclingweekend - autumn leaves and late starts

The clocks went back, which meant we slept more, cycled more, and took more fantastic photos!

It was all change this weekend. The clocks went back, and if your photos are anything to go by, the leaves have all fallen. All of them.

Funnily enough, until this weekend, we hadn't seen an awful lot of evidence that autumn had actually arrived in your photos.

Those occasional shots of bikes with amber trees in the background have been buried by an avalanche of shots of golden-leafed paths,  bare tree-banked roads, and fields of orange as far as the eye can see.

Here are a few of our favourites autumnal shots from this weekend:

We also discovered that the changing of seasons has a surprisingly divisive effect on you lot. Some of you don't seem to handle it very well - just look at poor Dan Smernicki's tweet - while others of you love it - check out the face on Peter Davis' daughter, and averagedreynolds' daughter's excited exploration. We feel it too!

Enjoying your weekend ride is the most important thing, and if the state of Instagram user acw_l's legs, and our man Martin Cox's plate of food are anything to go by, loads of you were enjoying yourself this weekend.

If anything is clear through your photos, it's that you all love cycling. We do, however, get the occasional little window into the rest of your lives. Whether it's your relationship with your family, and the joy you find from sharing a ride with your son or daughter, or the way you unwind after a ride. The #mycyclingweekend is so much more than an opportunity to show off your bike and your ride, it's a chance to share the little joys in life with the rest of us. Whether that's a nice cold pint of Guinness or a brand new pair of cycling socks.
