Video: Bald eagle swoops on cyclist in US
Here on road.cc, we’ve reported on videos showing cyclists being dive-bombed by magpies in Australia, attacked by a swarm of bees in Spain, and numerous encounters with kangaroos, some scary, others spooky
Here’s a new one though – a cyclist who was swooped upon by a bald eagle while riding on Camano Island in Washington State in the north western US.
The cyclist who captured the footage on his Cycliq Fly6 camera said: "I hear my wife cry out behind me, then see a large dark bird flying off the left. Reviewing the Fly6 video when we returned home, we realised she had been dive-bombed by a juvenile bald eagle, talons extended across the top of her helmet.”
He added: “It is especially impressive when the video is paused when the bird is over her head!"
It is indeed an impressive sight ... but not particularly one you would want to encounter when out on a ride.

Update on this: apparently it's all their Ti frames ever, except the HT Ti (no, no idea why). However, it's not transferable.

Makes our magpies seem not so bad
I was going to add that I had a similar experience with a buzzard in the Ashdown Forest a decade or so ago, but WOW that bird is massive...over a metre difference in wing span.
That'll teach her to free wheel....
