Live blog: Ouch! Lance Armstrong "is the nail"; Boardman unimpressed with MPs; red light jumping cyclists to drunk drivers; World's first gravel helmet, Aussie Grit (MTB) kit comp + LOTS more

All the cycling news from this site and beyond…

Please be patient with our sometimes slow-to-load live blog. If it's really slow, refreshing the page can sometimes give it a bit of a nudge.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.

I was at Anfield on Tuesday night and was impressed when I saw an advert for the Cycle Hub.

CB is of course, right, and there is a plethora of evidence about what is needed to increase active travel.  Unfortunately, the establishment and most MPs are wedded to their cars and cannot see past the end of the bonnet, and have such blinkered vision that anything which challenges their prejudices will be ignored; nowt so blind as those who will not see.

And in totally unrelated news, the treatment of cyclists at the parliamentary meeting about cycle provision on the HS2 route makes sobering reading.  https://www.citymetric.com/transport/parliamentary-meeting-cycling-provi...

no, what is neded is tougher laws on cycling.

or it would certainly seem that way to an impartial observer, based on what the government say they want, on what they are actually doing.
