House for sale with or without eclectic contents of former museum

Cycling enthusiasts in the market for a home in the South West London suburb of Kew and who have around a million pounds to spend may find one vendor throwing in some rather unusual extras – an astonishing collection of bicycles and other objects that take up almost all the space in a Victorian house in the affluent suburb, on the market for £949,949.

According to estate agents Foxtons, the house can be purchased either empty, or with all the contents that currently form a rather eclectic museum that as far as we can tell from the pictures provided are mainly focused on the bicycle, although two-wheeled machines from down the ages are interspersed with a huge range of other weird and wonderful objects.

From what we can work out, the collection belongs to the Kew Tranpsort Museum, founded many years ago by one Mike Wilsdon (possibly from different premises near Kew Gardens), although its website seems to have disappeared.

We’re trying to get confirmation from Foxtons regarding the house’s history, but if you have any further details, please don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments below. Meanwhile a full gallery of pictures from the house is available on the Foxtons website.

So that's what happened to my old Raleigh Chopper.

I reckon the owner of this place had OCD. Some interesting stuff there and the chance to crank out plaster busts would provide a profitable sideline. got one of those in our house in fact, wonder if it came from that mold?
