It’s 2016 were in Germany at Eurobike - under an awning in the Basso demo area sits this beauty… the Ulisse touring bike.
Form and function combining in an elegant steel frame, love that paint job - a green bike has surely never looked so good, note the way the band of colour on the seat stay matches the tyre, lush.
The Ulisse doesn’t appear to be available in the UK - though we’d happily be corrected on that cos then we could get one in for review.
Looking at the Ulisse on the Basso website it doesn’t seem to have changed much since 2016 (if it was Eurobike we were almost certainly looking at the 2017 model anyway). It had cable pull disc brakes back then and it still does by the looks of it. If I was going to change anything on the Ulisse it’d be those disc brakes - if it was me hooning it down an alpine pass fully loaded I’d much rather have a set of hydraulic discs at my disposal. Still, that wouldn’t stop me dreaming about owning one one day.

His favourite bikes are titanium and have disc brakes, though he'd like to own a carbon bike one day.

It's a pretty standard singe carriage highway, a very popular rat run for drivers between Camden/St Johns Wood/West End as there's only 3 traffic...
Neither of those great favourites of mine but I don't think one can say they lacked gravitas, or distinctly lowered the standards of public...
