Goat backie YouTube stillThe best video you'll see today of a goat getting a backie on a bike
Ask a pro cyclist which type of rider they think will do best on a tough mountain stage, and often the answer will be "a mountain goat."
We're not sure whether this particular goat, filmed in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, is aiming for a podium place in a Grand Tour, but in this video he seems to be okay with the whole bicycle thing as he clings onto his owner.

This bloke is quite well known in Addis Ababa. The photos that I have are of him with a different goat.....read whatever meaning you wish into that....

The goat is wearing neither high-viz nor a helmet!
I'm not sure about the rider - its possible that controlled studies would show that wearing a goat is more effective at giving protection in a collision than wearing a helmet. This needs further investigation.
I mean, if there's even a chance it will save your life, why wouldn't you wear a goat?
On the plus side, he just took a clean sweep of GOMs on that ride.

You get to a certain age and think you're unlikely to see something new..then along comes a goat on a bike.
