'World's first' pedal-powered cocktail bar comes to Brooks B1886 store in London

Hendrick's Boneshaker Cocktail Bar hits Covent Garden shop to coincide with London Cocktail Week...

The B1886 store in London’s Covent Garden will later this week play host to what is said to be the world’s first pedal powered cocktail bar – and it goes by the name of the Hendrick’s Boneshaker.

The Scottish gin brand has teamed up with English saddle, luggage and accessories manufacturer Brooks to coincide with London Cocktail Week, with the shop at 36 Earlham Street playing host to the intriguing-looking mixological contraption from Thursday till Sunday.

If you visit and plan on riding home afterwards, you’ll be reassured to know that there will be a low-alcohol option on offer in the shape of the Radler Gin Fizz.

According to the London Cocktail Week website, the Hendrick’s Boneshaker Cocktail Bar will be open from 1pm to 9pm from Thursday 9 October to Sunday 12 October.

Those times differ from the shop opening hours on the B1886 website, so you may wish to ring ahead to double-check, just to be on the safe side.
