Where to watch Sir Bradley Wiggins take on cycling's UCI Hour Record on Sunday

Five choices for UK viewers - including free-to-watch options on TV and online

Sir Bradley Wiggins is taking aim at one of cycling’s most prestigious records on Sunday evening – the Hour, currently held by another ex-Team Sky rider, Movistar’s Alex Dowsett. If you’re not lucky enough to be at the Lee Valley VeloPark, here’s details of where you can watch it – including for free.

In the UK, Sky will be covering Wiggins’ attempt to beat the 52.937km set by Dowsett last month in Manchester, and there are five ways to watch it – including through Freeview and YouTube, meaning you don’t even need a Sky subscription.

The programme lasts 2 hours, starting at 6pm and finishing at 8pm, with the record attempt itself scheduled to start at 6.30pm.

Here’s where it will be shown:

TV

Sky Sports 2 HD
Freeview channel PICK (channel 11)

Online (all UK only live streams)

Skysports.com
Sky Sports App

Elsewhere in the world, fans across Europe and in the Asia-Pacific region will be able to watch on Eurosport, and the broadcaster has exclusive rights for France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Spain.

Just looked at the UCI Youtube channel and the feed isn't available in this country. Need to find some way of watching the last few minutes as I'll be in work when the record is pushed to 56k.

It'll be on PickTV on Virgin too. If you have the Virgin smartphone app you can watch live through that.

That would be more useful. For me anyway.

I know that the Rafé Capha/Capha Rafé/Rapha Capha in Manchester is showing it and they apparently sell booze.

I'm hoping that a local pub will stick it on in lieu of any other sport being on, especially if a sizeable group turn up.

If you're still riding the ToC at 6.30 I think you'll be sitting in the broom wagon.
