The big #mycyclingweekend race!

How are those legs feeling? If they're anything like ours here at road.cc they're feeling fresh and ready for a #mycyclingweekend of broken Strava records, first-one-to-the-top-of-the-hill achievements, and Cycle Surgery-sponsored race bundle prizes!

Some of you may be sat there claiming to have never been racers, and that you're "not about to start this weekend." We'd implore you to look a little closer at your riding history - most of us here at road.cc have never been your typical 'racers' but blimey, we've raced.

Whether you're racing the setting sun home, your best riding mate up the most inconsequential climb, or the lactic acid build-up in your legs on your first ride back in the saddle after the winter 'break, there's no use in denying it. You've raced.

In celebration of these never-ending and universal bike races, our friends at Cycle Surgery are offering a bundle of goodies as a prize for the winner of this week's #mycyclingweekend competition. Here it is in all its energising glory:

Ironically, the #mycyclingweekend competition is probably the only thing that we're not going to be calling a race this weekend.

To win, you've just gotta fire over a photo that you think we'll like. Obviously it's got to fit in with the theme, which if you haven't caught on yet is racing, but it's also got to be fun and demonstrate a bit of your riding personality.

The other thing you MUST remember is to include BOTH the #mycyclingweekend and the #CycleSurgery hashtags to be in with a chance of winning!

So, the question you've got to answer this #mycyclingweekend is: what are you racing? What real or metaphorical adversary are you trying to drop?

Is it the last - or first - few kilos of winter blubber? How about those ageing aches and pains? Maybe it's your riding partners, your team mates, or your fierce rivals that you're trying to drop and leave in your wake.

Whatever your competition is this #mycyclingweekend, share a photo of it with us!
