We've very much enjoyed our series of Hammer Time rides on Zwift, that we've been doing in association with the folks at CycleOps. On Sunday at 0930 BST it's our last ride, and we'll be finishing in style atop the fearsome Alpe du Zwift. Join us!
> See the event on Zwift
If you haven't ridden the Alpe yet, then you should: it's closely modelled on the Alpe d'Huez climb in terms of the road and the gradient, but visually it's very different. Anyone on Zwift that's over level 12 can ride the Alpe, but if you join our Fondo you can have a go at it even if you're completely new to Zwift. So that's another reason to join in!
We'll be riding the Tour of Fire and Ice route. Heading out from the start pens we'll do a lap of the Volcano circuit before heading off to the climb, and finishing on the summit. It's not a long ride, at 26km, but it is a challenging one! Beacon rider Dave is aiming to complete it in about an hour and a half, but you can go at whatever pace you like.
Win a £999 CycleOps Hammer Trainer!
Like we've said before, if you're a UK rider and you've ridden one of our series rides up until now then if you complete the Fondo you'll be in the hat to win a fantastic Cycleops Hammer direct drive trainer worth £999. We've reviewed it on road.cc, we ride it every week in these sessions and we really rate it: great road feel, sturdy build, easy to connect to all your devices.
Spot prizes on offer too!
Even if you haven't ridden one of the rides there are still prizes to be won on Sunday. We'll be giving a spot prize of a pair of road.cc socks to three riders on the Fondo, at 20, 40 and 60 minutes. You'll need to be riding with the Beacon rider to be in with a shot of snaffling a prize.

If you've never tried a smart trainer then you can give one a go at one of CycleOps' demo centres. There are currently 11 in the UK, with more to be announced soon. Head to paligap.cc to find your nearest demo centre.
If you buy a CycleOps Hammer or Magnus smart trainer before the end of April 2018 then you can get 3 months free on Zwift or 6 months on Rouvy. That's £39 of training on Zwift, or $66 on Rouvy. Both offer a range of training options, with structured training plans and interactive features. Check out zwift.com and rouvy.com to see what they offer. See the full details of the offer at paligap.cc.
