Bigger Exhibitor Village at Bike Blenheim August 21st

Plus a choice of sportives, the Brompton World Champs, a top time trial and miles of traffic free roads

The organisers of Breast Cancer Care’s Bike Blenheim Palace event on August 21st are expanding not just the range of rides and races on offer but also the size of the Exhibitor Village to include a far wider range of bikes, clothing and accessories.

As we reported back in May, the festival of cycling based at Winston Churchill's ancestral home will feature 26, 60 and 100-mile Sportive rides with a headline race being the Brompton World Championships which brings together fans of the famous West London folders from across all continents.

For time triallists there is also the unusual opportunity to enter a race on closed roads and with unlimited numbers. Last year's TT was won by top racer Matt Bottrill, who covered the 20km in 27:14.

Now in its fourth running and based on attendance in previous years, Antony Auty of organising company Bikesoup is expecting up to 10,000 visitors including 3,500 participants in the five different events. "‘Bike Blenheim Palace offers a fantastic opportunity for companies of all sizes at a world class venue in a very accessible location. Within reason, we can cater for all needs, big or small, & we have the space to provide test track facilities for demo rides at the venue too."

The date being moved into the school holidays in August from the previous September-October period bodes well for attendance numbers and extra daylight hours should help families plannning to make a day of it.
