Planet X offer Jubilee wheels
It might have escaped your notice but the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is going on at the moment – it’s been on the telly and everything – and to celebrate Planet X have produced a limited edition of their carbon wheels with Union Jack graphics.
Although Planet X are marketing them as a Jubilee product, there’s nothing in the design that’s going to date them particularly quickly; they’ll fulfill all your general patriotic needs for a long time to come.
The wheels are available in various depths: 50mm front and rear (£399) 82mm front and rear (£399), and 82mm front with a 101mm rear (£499). If you want some, you need to put in an order quick sharp – by this Thursday (7 June).
The hubs are black anodized Planet X Superlight models with sealed cartridge bearings. They come with 16 black, bladed spokes at the front and 24 at the rear, and you get carbon-specific brake blocks and quick release skewers as part of the package.
