Bianchi release L’Eroica clothing

Bianchi have released a new range of classic-style clothing to celebrate the brand’s involvement with L’Eroica, the non-competitive ride on Tuscany’s Strade Bianche, or white roads. Bianchi will be sponsoring the event for the next three years.

Bianchi designers have created a vintage racing technical outfit and a leisure clothing line. The racing outfit is made using what Bianchi call a “Wool Yarn Heritage” technical material and the jersey features large, buttoned pockets both front and rear, like cycle jerseys of the 40s-60s. You get large Bianchi logos on both sides and on the sleeves, and the neck is buttoned rather than zipped. The colour is the same azure that Bianchi used at the time, rather than the celeste for which the brand is best known today.

The wool shorts display an embroidered Bianchi logo, a pocket on the back side with a button-fastening, and even buttons for braces.

Bianchi have put together a leisure line too. A T-shirt, polo shirt and sweatshirt will be available in different colours, sharing the same vintage look.

The new Bianchi clothing range for L'Eroica will be available for sale on both the Bianchi and L'Eroica websites.

These have yet to be confirmed. This year’s L’Eroica will take place on 6 October. We took part last year and loved it, broken bike not withstanding. You should get yourself out to Italy before the event gets too massive; it's increasing in size every year.
