The headline pretty much sums up the story, so don't bother clicking on stuff that you're not interested in. Just because it's on road.cc doesn't mean that you have to read it.

I completely agree with you. I didn't read the article. I just clicked on it after seeing the headline in order to write my comment. We all know that this website is struggling to pay the bills, so they should probably pay attention to feedback and start focussing on writing higher quality articles, rather than just increasing the quantity by pumping out junk in the hope of getting more clicks.

You're entitled to your opinion on the article, but who told you this website is struggling to pay the bills? That's incorrect. 

Keep telling yourself that pal. Asking people to subscribe when there's no change in content shows that it's going down the pan.

You subscribe to remove ads - that is becoming fairly standard.

So you don't want to pay for content directly via subscription, and you don't want to pay for content indirectly via advertising.

Well I don't claim to be a very good cuck - beans on toast or scrambled eggs is about my limit. I did used to like baking bread though, although I always ended up putting too much salt in. Perhaps I should buy a breadmaker. I don't use an ad blocker, they don't really bother me.

If you'd read the article you would have found that it's about a dog owner who said that his dogs enjoyed chasing people on bicycles, which would be something of interest and concern to people who ride bicycles. But you didn't.

Agree. This is another example of cheapskate journalism that replaces doing actual cycling stories/reviews/opinion pieces/columns etc. They're shooting themselves in the foot though. The more they do this type of story, the more I'm going to think 'time to stop paying that monthly subscription'. 

Tbh I've always felt the same way about the professional cycling stuff but I figured that nobody cared.

I would agree to a point. There has been a number of articles that hav a tenuous link. They are though very few and far between. 

This particular article does highlight what many cyclist have to deal with daily. Uncontrolled dogs. This is the main reason I avoid shared use as paths as much as I can. Basically because of dogs off leads or on extendable leads which are just as bad. I loose count of the number of times I've had to dismount and place the bike between me and the dog with the owner assuring me that   Tyson is harmless. Even when out on rural roads and urban to deal with an uncontrolled pet can be challenging. So in some ways the article does have relevance.
