Our hugely successful Big Bike Ride event is back again for 2017 offering riders the choice of two distance options. The route takes in some of Yorkshire's most picturesque countryside.
The Big Bike Ride is back again and will follow a circular route from Wetherby Rugby Club with two distance options (35 & 64 mile).
The Elite
This challenging ride is designed for the experienced cyclist. The 64 mile route heads North East via Huby and returns via the market town of Easingwold.
The Enthusiast
This moderate ride is designed with the keen amateur cyclist in mind. This is a 35 mile route that heads North of Wetherby, via Aldborough.
Both of these routes will be published in more detail closer to the event.
This year we will also be offering two different entry options.
Standard entry is £20 and includes entry on to the event (either distance).
Gold entry is £30 and includes entry on to the event (either distance), finishers medal and and lunch (round of sandwiches, packet of crisps and drink).
Entry on to the event includes:
· Maps and rider number
· Refreshment stations
· First Aid
· Minor cycle repairs
Setting off from 7.30am, both of these routes will start and finish at Wetherby Rugby Club, Grange Park, Wetherby, LS22 5NB. Facilities include:
· Parking
· Showers
· Bag Storage
· Licensed Bar
· Food (additional cost for standard entry)
Please note: Minimum age for entry is 16 years. All riders are required to wear a helmet.
