LoveVeloArt release cycling cards and limited edition prints

Taking both modern and classic road racing as her inspiration, Laura J. Brown paints extraordinarily detailed portraits of iconic riders from past and present that encapsulate the intensity of professional cycle racing.

Laura the artist was born in the north east of England but headed south to spend four years studying at both Saint Martin’s and Wimbledon Schools' of Art in London. Laura the athlete competes in both cycling and triathlon, completing the Alpe d’Huez Long Distance Triathlon, Ironman Lanzarote, Helvellyn Triathlon, the Fred Whitton Challenge Sportive as well as competing in both individual and team time trial events.

Her range of LoveVeloArt cycling portraits are inspired by that first-hand knowledge of the colour, drama and heat of battle, as well as those moments of elation and satisfaction found in cycling. Laura’s natural ability lies in capturing the full spectrum of facial expressions and emotions, often in just a partial glance of the rider’s face, it’s the interpretation of this key moment in time that’s come to define the LoveVeloArt style.

Cycling fans will recognise Mark Cavendish’s ‘on the phone’ moment and Fabian Cancellara ‘in touch with ground control’. Also, great riders from generations past like The Badger, The Gypsy and The Cannibal are featured in her peloton portfolio.

Each piece is painted on canvas in acrylics before being digitally photographed and then printed into cards and art prints. The images are available as Limited Edition prints, 300 mm square, printed on high quality art paper with each one signed by the artist. Framing can be arranged as an extra.

If your pocket can’t stretch to a £40.00 print then you can choose from a range of eight greetings cards featuring the same images for a mere £3.50 each. 155mm square they’re printed on high quality card and come with a matt black envelope. All cards and prints are sourced and manufactured in the North East of England.
