Polartec 'Train with Contador' competition starts next week

Win the chance to train with Contador in Gran Canaria

Polartec’s Strava competition in which entrants must ‘keep up with Contador’s pace’ will start next week. The innovative fabric specialists will offer 10 winners the opportunity to spend five days training with the Spaniard in Gran Canaria in October.

Running from August 29 to September 26, entrants are being asked to cycle at least 1,000km and complete four levels of personal challenges.

The four levels are of escalating difficulty. Strava badges are awarded upon completion of each and the next level will then be unlocked.

10 riders will win the opportunity to attend a training camp with the Polartec Fundacion Contador Team that was founded by Contador and is managed by his brother. The man himself will also be present.

Entry is via the FollowContador website and in addition to the training camp, there are weekly prizes on offer.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.

FatBoyW, No doubt there'll be a slap up dinner at the end of it, with steak specially flown in from the best butcher in Spain! 3

Sept. challenges didn't show up on Strava yet. Hoprefully it's more than just ride 200km, ride 500km, ride 750km, for the badges. Throw in some really taxing elevation, or distances etc to make the 1000km more interesting.
