Law firm Leigh Day teams up with IG London Nocturne for safe cycle routes to next month's event

Four routes on offer to encourage fans to ride to seventh edition of evening event at Smithfield Market

Law firm Leigh Day has teamed up with the IG London Nocturne to provide four safe routes that they hope will encourage fans to cycle to Smithfield Market for this year’s event, which takes place on Saturday 8 June.

Three of the routes continue towards Smithfield from the end of existing Barlcays Cycle Superhighways at Whitechapel, Southwark Bridge and Millbank, while the fourth takes in the Regent’s Canal.

Full routes can be found on the IG London Nocturne website, where there are also links to download the GPX files of them on Bikely.

Leigh Day are legal advisers to British Cycling and have the British Cycling Federation and have acted for more than 1,000 cyclists and athletes belonging to those organisations during the past two years in relation to personal injury cases.

Sally Moore, a partner of the firm, said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring the support race at the IG London Nocturne once again and we wanted to ensure all cyclists could get to the races as easily as possible from all four corners of the capital.

"We hope everyone has a great night and a safe journey to watch what we believe is the best night's racing in the country."

This year sees the seventh edition of IG London Nocturne, which includes the ever popular Time Out London Folding Bike Race and Brooks Penny Farthing Race, plus the Leigh Day Kermesse and of course the elite men’s and women’s crits featuring top pro riders.

Organisers FACE Partnership say that this year’s event will be “the biggest and best yet,” with a cycling expo area and food and drink stalls, while the Smithfield Market area itself has a range of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Full information on the evening's racing can be found on the IG London Nocturne website.

That route along the canal from regents park to islington is terrible!
It's really narrow and packed on a weekend. And there's building work being done on it with a big chunk of no cycling! Hmmm, they really researched that well 3

Better to go round the park, Portland place then shimmy over to the Torrington place bike lane etc... Shouldn't be to busy on a Saturday !

20mins from top of park to end of St. John's street 4
