Mat has been road.cc technical editor for over a decade, testing bikes, fettling the latest kit, and trying out the most up-to-the-minute clothing. He has won his category in Ironman UK 70.3 and finished on the podium in both marathons he has run. Curious as to why not? I can understand people's concerns about hookless, I was just wondering why you wouldn't buy hooked?
I agree the path is awful, but according to Ordnance Survey it is a footpath and thus a public right of way.

Hub brakes have their own trade-offs. I actually liked the one I had for its particular application - in a "utility" bike where I didn't care...
