New Fairlight Cycles Secan ready for GritFest this weekend
Yesterday Dom Thomas from Fairlight Cycles popped into the office to drop off the brand new Secan, the gravel and adventure bike follow up to the Strael. It turned up just in time for me to take it to Wales this weekend to ride the inaugural GritFest gravel event, which you can read about over on off.road.cc right here.
I'll do a more detailed first look - there is a lot to talk about - but for now here are five cool things I like about the new bike based on just a few hours with it. Don't ask me how it rides, I haven't ridden it much further than down the farm track to shoot this video. I'll let you know what it's like next week.
David worked on the road.cc tech team from 2012-2020. Previously he was editor of Bikemagic.com and before that staff writer at RCUK. He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds, and you can now find him over on his own YouTube channel David Arthur - Just Ride Bikes.
