Who needs a car? Part 2...

Avatar

After last week's experiment strapping a bike to my trailer box I thought I'd have a go at upping the ante and fitting my bike rack. managed to get a bike plus a wheelset on there, i reckon it'd take two bikes... got some odd looks 1

I'll have to see if I can find the photo of me and my housemate moving house by bicycle when we lived in Nigeria. We balanced the kitchen table on top of his bike, piled everything on top (including the three piece suite in the living room) and four of us then held on and wheeled it to the new house. It took two or three loads and we even shifted the bed frames and mattresses this way.

This appeals to me... Fancy a friendly contest to see who can raise the most eyebrows? I feel the Univega towing not only the tag-along but the trailer too 1

You'll be giving the UCI ideas.

First, the radio ban.

Then, they'll have the Directeur Sportives riding on one of these, six spare bikes strapped to the back, trying to keep up with the peloton.

Remember - you heard it here first 3
