Experience the Tour de France in the heart of the stunning Pyrenees!
Come and challenge yourself on gorgeous Cols whilst watching the Tour de France on a fully supported cycling holiday. Jelli will be providing a full professional cycling experience. You will have a support vehicle available to you with food, drinks and your day bag available to you so you can enjoy the climbs without having to think about the extra kit that you’ll want to have on hand for the descents or for any other reason. This Jelli experience is fully catered so you can just enjoy your cycling just the way a professional team member would expect it. At the end of a fun filled day on the bike your cycling kit can be washed and ready for your next day of riding.
The dates of this trip will be the 11th – 16th of July.
On this trip we will provide you with all the logistics around your stay, viewing of the Tour de France. Airport transfers, 3 days of Tour de France viewing and fantastic rides conquering cols will all be provided for you.
Costs
£899 Per Person (If booked before 31st March 2015)
25% deposit required upon booking balance payable 8 weeks prior to trip.
Optional Extras
Hire Bike (2015 Scott Solace 30) £150
Massages £25 per massage or £100 for 5 during the week.
Rates are based on 2 people sharing a twin room, single occupancy can be arranged at an additional cost. Massage costs are cost per massage and based on a 25 min massage, massages provided by a fully qualified massage therapist, massages can be arranged as and when during your stay.
This trip will run from 11th July 2015 and end on 16th July. We have some fantastic accommodation right at the bottom of Col du Tourmalet in the Campan Valley. We will staying at Gite Belle Vie one of our favorites.

Jelli experiences are fully catered by our exceptional chefs so you can just enjoy your cycling just the way a professional cyclist would. We take great pride in the catering that is provided on our cycling experiences as we realize just how important fantastic nutrition is to your wonderful ride. You will start the day with a strong breakfast, lunch will be provided either back at base (if appropriate) or on the road at a breath-taking beauty spot. In the evening we will indulge in a hearty dinner with a few glasses of wine as you sit back and relax for the evening.
At the end of a fun filled day on the bike your cycling kit can be washed and ready for your next day of riding.
Tour de France & Other riding
You will be treated to riding in some of the most amazing scenery in the stunning mountain landscape of the Pyrenees whilst being able to watch the worlds best cyclists race over the mountains.
How much riding will I be doing? You will enjoy 5 days of riding some of the best routes and roads that the Pyrenees have to offer. You will be treated to staggering climbs, jaw-dropping vistas and thrilling descents. With regards to distances covered, most rides will be roughly 100km +- dependent on the day and what is in store the following days riding. We will start off on day one with a shorter ride, these distances can vary accordingly to the group and the objectives of the week. This Jelli trip is for riders with some previous cycling experience who want to challenge themselves on the famous Cols of the Tour de France, whilst marveling in the beauty of the of the landscape.
Some of the Cols that are likely to be experienced are: Col du Tourmalet, Col d’Aspin, Gavarnie, Col du Soulor, Col d’Aubisque, Col d’Azet, Col de Peyresourde, Port de Balès, Col de Portet d’Aspet, Col de Menté, Hourquette d’Ancizan, Hautacam and many many more.
Hire Bikes
Rental bikes are available to guests at £150 for the week subject to availability so please reserve these early if required. Bike sizes range from 49cm – 58cm. The rental bikes are 2015 Scott Scott Solace 30’s which are absolutely ideal for riding in the mountains – light, responsive and fitted with compact chainsets to help you conquer the Cols. Accommodation
The accommodation on this trip is at our home from home in the Campan Valley, Pyrenees (Gite Belle Vie). The accommodation is outstanding, in a converted grange situated just off the main road, bordered by a stream. The converted grange comprises of 3 independent stone cottages that vary in size. Once back at base after a days riding you will find it is a superb location for relaxation. All the gites have recently undergone significant renovation that has brought them up to an exceptional standard, including superior furnishings and the finest beds. Our rates are based on 2 people sharing a twin room, signal occupancy can be arranged at an additional cost.
During your stay all of your catering will be provided. Our caterers will treat you to scrumptious meals that will also be appropriate nutrition to ensure you get the most out of your cycling. You will start the day with a strong breakfast, lunch will be provided either back at base (if we have returned from riding) or on the road at a breath-taking beauty spot. In the evening we will indulge in a hearty dinner with a few glasses of wine as you sit back and relax for the evening.

Day 1 – Saturday 11th July
Airport transfers from Toulouse

Afternoon ride (50Km ish)
Day 2 – Sunday 12th July
Casual start to the day
Ride in the mountains
Day 3 – Monday 13th July
Longer ride day (probably a point A to B rather than a looped ride).
Day 4 – Tuesday 14th July
Tour de France day!
Rider over to the Start of Le Tour stage 10 in Tarbes.
Day 5 – Wednesday 15th July
Our 2nd Tour de France day.
Ride in the mountains before settling down to watch the Tour de France on the informous Col du Tourmalet.
Day 6 – Thursday 26th July
Tour de France day 3.
Exact viwing location TBC possibly near the feed zone.
Return to Toulouse airport for evening return flights.

Bravo! I'd love to know what modifications were made to it. I would hope going up huge hills means he had lower gear than standard.
We might equally pertinently ask: does this stuff come with less rubbish/trash/litter/landfill/etc. than an equivalent product that comes in...
I think that they are 'access' or 'deliveries only'. Seems weird that these people appear to think that cyclists are a death-causing menace...
