The popular Hope House Cycle Challenge is back!! Join us on Sunday 7th August for our annual Cycling Challenge as we go up a few hills and down a few mountains en route to Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala.
This fabulous event starts and finishes at Hope House (SY10 9BX) and in previous years has seen nearly 300 cyclists taking part. This year, to celebrate our 21st Birthday and to add to the challenge, the route has been reversed!!
You can choose the 56 mile route to Lake Vyrnwy, or the 72 mile route to Lake Bala which returns via Bwlch y Groes – one of the highest public road mountain passes in Wales with a summit altitude of 545 metres! The routes can be seen by clicking on the following links; http://gb.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4304623 http://gb.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4304615
It costs just £25 to register in advance or £35 on the day. We also urge everyone to raise sponsorship to help us continue our vital work with life-limited children and their families.
Cyclists will be provided with refreshments at our halfway feed station and additional points, followed by a delicious afternoon tea upon return to Hope House.
Start time for the 72 mile route is 8.30 am.
Start time for the 56 mile route is 9.30 am.
*Entrants must be 16 years old or over on the day of the event.
