Start/Finish: St Ives, Cambridgeshire
This event is normally the season opener for many riders and gives everyone the opportunity to get that magic 100 in without the pressure of a Classic Sportive.
Starting and finishing in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, the route mainly on quiet roads is without the mammoth climbs of other events, ideal to get your season underway after the pandemic.
However, do not be fooled as the distance and sometimes the wind will offer a good challenge for the 100milers. If you just easing into your return to sportives the 72-mile medium ride with be a good enough test for fresh legs.
HQ and registration will be held at the IVO centre where free tea and coffee will be available before and after the ride.
The Come and Try 23 miler will have chaperones to help the newcomers find their feet in the world of sportives.
We plan to have mechanical support from Richardsons Cycles with FREE bike checks for all entrants from the beginning of September 2021 and back up on the day.
Each feed point will have opening and closing times posted at Registration based on a 9mph average
On your return to the finish, you will receive a medal and a snack.

AIUI an entering-circulating accident [sic] would be when the vehicle entering the roundabout fails to give way to the vehicle circulating.
Which is great - but you can only take a bus which exists eg. is going somewhere near where you want to go, when you want to go....
