Hi cycling twitter. I'm Michael, Helen's husband. As some of you may know Helen's last scan showed that the cancer has grown and is impacting kidney function. This means we have reached the end of the road for treatment and are focusing on keeping Helen comfortable.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I followed her comments on Twitter and responded a few times when I still used that platform. Her posts were smart and insightful.
RIP, and my condolences to her friends and family.

Very sad news. She was a great voice for cycling on twitter. I deleted my account months ago for obvious reasons and couldn't find her on Bluesky.
Thanks for that information although it's very sad to hear. I had some great exchanges with CIAS on Twitter before I decided to leave the platform, she's a thoroughly good egg and always on the side of the angels. On the off chance that you happen to see this, Michael, please give her my love and know that our thoughts are with you all at this most difficult of times..
