Cannondale-Garmin won’t be unveiling its new kit until next week – but ahead of the team’s presentation it is inviting fans to submit their own ideas of what it should look like, with the best designs winning their creators a watch.
When the merger between Garmin-Sharp and Cannondale Pro Cycling was announced earlier this year, we used Photoshop to come up with our own impression of what their kit might resemble, pictured above; obviously, the Cervelo logos, not to mention David Millar have both disappeared now.
The team has made things slightly easier for its fans – head to this page, where next week’s presentation will be streamed, to download a template.
Once you’ve designed your version of the kit, there’s a separate link to upload it – and Cannondale-Garmin says that some of the fans submitting designs will win a watch from Modify.
As for the official kit, we will have to wait for next week’s presentation to see what it looks like, but given the #GreenArgyle hashtag being used, it’s almost certain to combine those elements of the respective teams’ previous kits.
The link to design your own kit does show part of a design on the bibshort. While it may not be part of the actual kit, it has alternating navy blue and green diamonds on a white background.
It’s highly reminiscent of a carrier bag from Madrid-based department store chain El Corte Ingles – which has a store in the team’s European base, Girona.
