A nine-year-old girl going by the stage name Hanny MacNoSkill features in The Cairn, a video produced in homage to Danny MacAskill’s The Ridge, that sees her take to Glen Lyon in Highland Perthshire on her scooter.
Okay, the skills aren’t quite up there with those of the trials ace from Skye. However, Hannah is clearly having fun, and according to her parents, “adventure addict” Stuart and “misadventure magnet” Kirstie, that’s the whole point.
In a description to the video on YouTube, they say: “We can't all have Danny's skills but we can share the spirit of exploring, getting out, keeping active and having fun in outstanding landscapes. Perhaps the skills will come later.”
The couple, who live in Kendal in the Lake District, blog about their escapades with their three children at Family Adventure Project, which documents their own travels in the UK and abroad and is also aimed at encouraging and inspiring other families to get out and explore the world together.
