Tour Down Under: Simon Gerrans wins Stage 4 to extend lead (+ video highlights)

Orica-GreenEdge rider outsprints Team Sky's Ben Swift to line...

Simon Gerrans has stretched his lead at the Santos Tour Down Under after winning today's Stage 4 of the race, where he is seeking his fourth overall victory.

The Orica-GreenEdge rider picked up bonus seconds at intermediate sprints plus a further 10 as he outsprinted his former Team Sky colleague Ben Swift to the line at the end of the 138km stage from Norwood to Victor Harbour.

Gerrans wasn't the only member of the Australian WorldTour outfit to "smash it" today as this picture of the team car after the stage reveals.

Our car didn't finish the stage as strong as Simon Gerrans today ;. Good news, everyone is OK ;.
