Tonight at 2010GMT is the final ride in our eight-week series of Hammer Time session on Zwift in association with CycleOps. How many have you managed to join?
Ride #8 is a group social around Watopia: the beacon rider be going at a steady pace but there will be some drills (and a mini race) thrown in too if you want to work a bit harder.
> See the event on Zwift
Monday's ride is a group social. That means there'll be a beacon rider (our Dave) riding at a constant effort, with a big arrow above him so everyone can see where the centre of the ride is. There'll be sprints along the way, as well as some other drills and a mini race at the end. As well as riding together on Zwift we'll be chatting on Discord. If you download the phone app you can join in! Our join link is https://discord.gg/G3VF7UJ
New date for the Fondo: 29 April
We've moved our Fondo back a few days because we didn't really want to run it round the Richmond course: there's a lot more going on in Watopia, so that's where we'll be on Sunday 29 April. Don't forget: if you ride one of the series rides and the Fondo on 29 April then you'll be in the hat to win a CycleOps Hammer direct drive trainer worth £999.
The exact time and course are yet to be confirmed, but don't worry, we'll let you know as soon as we do! There will probably be some climbing involved. I think you know what we mean.
Win stuff!
Like we said above, if you're a UK rider and you ride one series event and our Fondo on 23 April then you'll be in the hat to win a fantastic Cycleops Hammer direct drive trainer worth £999. We've reviewed it on road.cc, we ride it every week in these sessions and we really rate it: great road feel, sturdy build, easy to connect to all your devices.
There's a spot prize every week awarded to one UK rider too, and this week you'll be in the hat to win a CycleOps riser block. Just for showing up!
For full terms and conditions head to road.cc/hammertime
If you've never tried a smart trainer then you can give one a go at one of CycleOps' demo centres. There are currently 11 in the UK, with more to be announced soon. Head to paligap.cc to find your nearest demo centre.
If you buy a CycleOps Hammer or Magnus smart trainer before the end of April 2018 then you can get 3 months free on Zwift or 6 months on Rouvy. That's £39 of training on Zwift, or $66 on Rouvy. Both offer a range of training options, with structured training plans and interactive features. Check out zwift.com and rouvy.com to see what they offer. See the full details of the offer at paligap.cc.
