Cyclevox launches Spoke 'N Word series of motivational lectures focused on cycling

Inaugural event in London later this month, others will follow arond the country

Cyclevox has launched a new series of motivational speaking events focused on cycling called Spoke ‘N Word. The first, called Preparing for the Road Ahead, takes place in London on 29 February and features Bryan Steel, winner of Olympic bronze at Sydney in 2000 and silver at Athens four years later in the team pursuit, plus cancer survivor James Golding, who last year rode from Los Angeles to Miami in just four weeks.

Anthony McCrossan of Cyclevox said: “Having been involved in the UK cycling industry for so many years now, the team at Cyclevox wanted to give riders something to motivate and inspire them. So, we have launched a series of speaking events to help and educate those who are trying to get into the sport, as well as those who love the sport. We are lucky to work with so many inspiring riders, presenters and commentators so now it’s time to let people hear more widely, the information we hear every day!

“With Spoke ‘N Word we hope to be able to offer cyclists the chance to meet with some of the UK’s best cyclists as well as get a chance to hear straight from the horse’s mouth on how to do it properly and get the most out of their time on the bike.”

Bryan Steel added: “To be part of Spoke ‘N Word is a great opportunity for me to help and inspire people start their journey in achieving their cycling goals in 2012.”

The inaugural event takes place at the Frontline Club, close to Paddington Station in London, on Wednesday 29 February from 7pm to 9.15pm. Full details of the event, which costs £15 + £1.75 booking fee, with places limited to 100, can be found on the Spoke ‘N Word website.

Further events in the series are planned for venues around the UK.
