Giant has opened its 11th UK standalone store, the new outlet being located in Yeovil, Somerset and operated by existing independent retailer, Chris Boon, and will share premises with his Tri UK store – claimed to be the world’s biggest triathlon-focused shop.
As with the existing stores, the latest location which has a trading area of 375 square metres will showcase the full range of the Taiwan-based company’s bikes and accessories.
Ian Beasant, Giant UK’s managing director, commented: “Giant Stores focus on understanding the customer and their cycling experience ensuring that the end user gets complete satisfaction from their purchase.
“This is the first Giant brand store we’ve opened that’s in an existing, established business, we believe the partner and location provides the perfect environment for a Giant brand store.”
Chris Boon added: “We are so excited about the Giant Store, we believe it offers our customers both existing and new a completely different appeal and retail experience”
The Yeovil store is at 76 Lyde Road, Yeovil, BA21 5DW and is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 6.00pm and on Sundays from 10.00am until 4.00pm.
Giant says that it plans to open further stores within the UK, where besides Yeovil it also has a presence in Bristol, Bromley, Cambridge, Guildford, Liverpool, Radlett, Rutland, Shoreham, Twickenham and York.
Another Giant Store has also opened recently in the Irish capital, Dublin, and details of that and all the British outlets can be found on the Giant Stores UK website.
