George Hincapie to open 'Hotel Domestique' in South Carolina

Blue Ridge Mountains provide setting for continentally-styled retreat

George Hincapie, the legendary 17-times rider of the Tour de France, is to venture into the hotel business, bringing a slice of the continent to South Carolina.

Along with his brother Rich, George will open the aptly-named Hotel Domestique in the Blue Ridge Mountains in August, with 13 rooms all beautifully set around mediterranean-style gardens.

There will be 29 acres of grounds too, along with vineyards - and the area is perfect for cycling. There will be a bike mechanic among the staff to help out guests and get them up and running.
