Come and see us at the Cycle Show!

Stand D5... no sharp objects please

Coming to the Cycle Show this weekend at Earl's Court? Then make sure you pop in and say hello! We're on stand D5 (next to the kids test track). There's an inflatable sofa to rest those weary legs (no sharp objects please!), a telly showing Cyclefilms' Italian Job DVDs, Marina and the girls from the Belvedere Bike Hotel handing out wine and cheese, a nice Colnago Super to ogle and some t shirts to buy. Oh, and us.

There's lots of other cool stuff to see too, we've been impressed so far by Sabbath's weird and wonderful new Ti bikes, Demon Frameworks' attention to detail, Wattbike's 500m world of pain, Cooper's chic singlespeeders, Qoroz's new touring iron, Sturmey Archer's new Kickshift two speed hub... the list goes on and on. Come and see for yourself!

He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

Sweet Jesus, 1600W is good going, I'll avoid any road sign sprints with you if we ride together. Although most of my sprints are won by not letting on to the others that they are in a race until I have it in the bag, it's much easier than trying to generate 1600W, you've seen me, I don't think I have 1.6KW in me somehow!

I know my FTP and LT wattages, but have no idea what my peak is, but I do have a bit of a desire for a Powertap, so that may change.

Did they tell you the wattage you peaked at for that Dave?

last time i looked the leading time in my age group was 27.97 - didn't think i'd be able to shave a second off my time, at least not without dying. took me half an hour to recover the first time... 4

29.02 was my effort...god knows what my heart rate was at the end!

Good time dave, what was the leading time? I think I saw 27. something.

i certainly did have a go on the ol' wattbikes. 28.75 was my time for the 500m - sprinting on a static bike is a discipline that favours the clydesdale rider though 1

I recognised the cervelo equipped di2 (still had the slight marks on the bars from my tri bars!) but they changed the wheelset.

Was interesting to hear contador..not a fan but he did come accross as quite 'normal' which can't be a bad thing for him.

Bike wise I enjoyed staring at Fabs Shiv and the team gb carbon track bike. Qoroz always show up with shiny things and the stuff at kcnc was pleasing on the eye (their fully kcnc equipped bike was a little nausea inducing though). Also had fun doing the flying 500m on the wattbikes, fringe, tony, dave did you have a go?

i thought it was really good, enjoyed seeing stuff that you dont often see in 'normal' bike shops, Pearson and Cotic Roadrat for example, also small frame builders stuff, Independant Fab. Moot, Pegoretti and Demon Bikeworks were a highlight. Having a spin on a cervelo equiped Di2, Malcolm Elliot talking us through his 'training program' (old skool, get the miles in and a big breakfast) and the test track was good laugh as i got to try at least 6 folding bikes in 30 mins... anyhow must dash, late shift on the picket line awaits.
