Kinesis Brand Manager Bruce Dalton gave us an exclusive first look at the soon-to-be-launched Kinesis Tripster AT, an aluminium gravel and adventure bike before he rode the Dirty Reiver 200km gravel event at the weekend.
The new Tripster AT is intended to be a more affordable version of the recently updated titanium Tripster ATR adventure road bike, and with an expected price of £699 for the frame and full carbon fork with 12mm thru-axle, we expect it to be very popular indeed. It's expected to be available next month.

Like its titanium big brother, the new Tripster AT will offer clearance for up to 45mm tyres, and you could, of course, go down the 650b route if you wanted as there’s cavernous tyre clearance.
The frame gets three bottle cage mounts, so you can run a tool keg or third water bottle on the down tube. Cables are routed internally and it’ll be decked out with mudguard mounts so it’ll be just as versatile and adaptable as any other good adventure and gravel bike on the market.
The prototype that Bruce has been riding for the past few months is finished in tractor grey, which we really like, but the actual production frames will come in a choice of bright fluoro yellow or duck egg teal. We've no idea what to expect from those colours, but we'll soon find out.
As Bruce says, road.cc will be getting its hands on a test bike as soon as they land in the country, so stay tuned for a first look at the finished production bike and a first tide.
Also in the video Bruce talks through his setup for the Dirty Reiver, from gear and tyre choice to luggage considerations.
