FAO Harrogate Cyclists .. The STRAY

If you haven’t already done so, please take a few moments to respond to Harrogate Council’s public consultation which proposes to permit shared use for pedestrians and cyclists on a limited number of Stray paths. PLEASE SUPPORT THE PROPOSALS.

• Go straight to www.harrogate.gov.uk/surveys/straycycleroutes.htm to complete the response form with your name and address. Click the ‘Yes’ button, ideally give your reason(s) in the box provided (it could be as short as ‘I think it’s right to allow cycling on these paths.’) and click the Submit button below. Thank you if you have done this already.

This is the only chance we are likely to get. We need as many votes in favour as possible. Responses must be received before 15th December. The public vote is not decisive, but a large number of responses will almost certainly ensure success. If you can, please forward this email to others who are likely to support us. We welcome queries, either at this address or at straycycling [at] hotmail.co.uk.

You can send more than one response per household, including all adults and children with a genuine interest in this issue. If responding on the online form, each should submit their response separately, though several family members can respond from the same email address. If you do not live in the Harrogate area, you should explain your connection i.e. that you work in Harrogate, visit, cycle here, know the Stray etc.
