Good Morning all,

I’m currently looking at an Argon 18 Krypton, but am confused with the sizing; I currently ride a size 54 Cannondale SuperSix Evo, I am 5’10’ with an inside leg of 31 inches. Looking at the Krypton sizing and geometry, a small seems to be the closest fit. I’m not in a position to try to the bike out before ordering.

Could any Argon 18 confirm if this sounds about right, and the frames come up larger than normal?

Thank you,

Ian.

Looking at the tech specs you would need a 'Medium' 54-56 to nearly match frame dimensions of the 54cm Cannondale- You didnt say which year is your super six?

There is about 7mm between 'reach' the Argon being longer (shorter stem would correct)

'Stack' virtually identical

head angle 0.2 deg difference.

54-56 Argon is your size, if your current bike is a good fit

Apologies, it’s a 2017 SuperSix Evo.

The Krypton would be a 2018 model.

Thank you for your reply and help, it’s appreciated.

The Canondale over the years has changed very little apart from a few millimetres here and there.

I still think its 54-56 Argon is the correct frame bike to compare.

I always check reach, stack, head tube length to compare for bike fit.  Head angle and overall wheelbase determine handling characteristics.

I am the same height as you and when I tried one in the shop they sized me a medium frame. I didn't buy it in the end but hope that helps

I am 5' 9 and have a medium frame Argon 18 Nitrogen, which fits me very nicely.

It is one of the better looking aero bikes IMHO, and feels great to ride.  Fast but surprisingly comfortable, handles beautifully through bends.

Looks after me too - only this morning I had a big moment at over 20mph when I swerved hard to avoid a big branch sticking out of the hedge, hidden in the shadows.  Hit a pedal on the floor, thought I was going down but miraculously it straightened up with no drama and I was on my way.

All in all, highly recommended, but they seem to fly under the radar in the cycling press.

I am usually an M but when trying one had to down size to an S. Had to put a 70mm stem on as well .I wanted to like it but Ended up not buying one. It just felt too stretched.
