Modification’s the name of the game

Not merely a polishing zealot or a master of obscurity, I have a thing for judicious modification. I’m not talking about taking files to frames or drilling components for weight saving, I’m talking about little tweaks here and there that improve a product without voiding the warrantee. Pictured is a very worthy dual sided SPD clone with the other cage removed- it’s saved a few grams, hasn’t negatively impacted upon comfort and moreover, its lower profile is now much better suited to road fixers/singlespeeds…Am I the only one?
