Brompton partners with Meantime Brewing - for beer and bike (+ video)

Iconic folding bike brand collaborates with fellow London business in six-week campaign

Brompton is undertaking a collaboration with another London based business, Meantime Brewing Company, which will see a beer created in tribute to the iconic folding bike, and a custom Brompton being made to honour the brewer.

Founded in 2000, the Greenwich-based Meantime Brewery takes six weeks to brew its beers, and hit on Brompton as an ideal brand to partner with for its current campaign given its London origins and similar emphasis on craftsmanship.

Here's a video featuring both companies and explaining the background to their collaboration.

Brompton Bicycle CEO Will Butler Adams said: “The Brompton is proudly made in London and takes tremendous skill from our master brazers to produce, all of whom have completed a three year apprenticeship.

"Quality products take time, time well invested to produce a delightful product. We are looking forward to learning a thing or two about brewing and working closely with Meantime’s team of brewers to create a truly unique brew.

"We can’t wait to drink it”

Both the beer and the bikes will be produced in very limited quantities, and at the end of the six-week partnership Meantime will be running a competition to win both.

You can keep up to date with that through Meantime's Twitter feed or using the hashtag #MakeTimeForIt.
