Winter. Despite the bad weather if you get rugged up you can get some cracking winter rides in. (Plus the roads and cafes are quieter in the Peak District).
Definitely autumn. No targets, no training, just riding. Dig out the winter jacket and head off. Oh, and cafe stops are better when the weather's not so good.
every season has its benefits, from long days in the summer, to the changing scenery in both spring and autumn. but theres something special about being out in the snow, skidding around and laughing my ass off, even if it takes twice as long (or more) to get anywhere
SUMMER! Hot long hazy days and crisp tan lines.
Late Summer for me.
Warmth, No Hayfever, dry roads.
Winter for me but with a clear sky.
In
Definitely spring.
Summer!
No questions.
Spring... first rides when weather opens up and the days become longer!
It has to be autumn, the wind, the clouds dancing across the sky, the rain not forgetting the weak rays of sun; hang on isn't that the summer?
Summer - dry, warm, lots of light, not too much wind. I know it goes against Rule 9, so I admit it, I'm a softy. Some Vulpine clothing might toughen me up a bit though...
Summer. And then talk about riding all winter.
probably October. changing of the seasons.
Winter... 'Cross season, right?
Autumn for me! Vulpine Kit looks great
Summer - warm and light evenings mean more riding for me!,
Mid spring when the roads are getting better and we can finally get out of hibernation! (Well, those that don't do MTB or cross through the whole winter, that is )
Autumn, while hopefully wearing a fine selection of Vulpine schwag!
A French Summer.
Definitely autumn. Just so many colours and different conditions to ride in. It never gets boring!
autumn - for the idea of cold clear mornings and crisp leaves... and the reality of wind and rain and slippery mashed up leaves and mud on the road.
Any seasonhas its perks, but going out to warmth and sun can be just that much inviting!
Summer for me. Being able to ride after a day at an office in the daylight and not worry about wrapping up is great
Autumn. Those crisp cool days, when the leaves are dry and looking wonderful.
Or just after it's been raining, and the roads are shiny and slick. And the smell, of earth and mushrooms.
Rainy Season is great as you get those knowing glances from other cyclists and you feel that you are almost in a secret club where you know its not as bad out as it looks.
Summer and not too far.
Cross season. You can ride for only an hour in the crappiest weather, and no one can accude you of being soft.
Winter for the commute - gets rid of the fair weather brigade, and TT season, er.... I think that's all of them then!
winter turbo or road best of both !!!
