Get set this June for the ride of your life, as you face the exhilarating ‘Road of Champions’. Set in the breath-taking county of Monmouthshire, the Championship Sportive will see you tackle the same course the stars of British cycling will as they fight to be crowned British Cycling Road Race Champion 2014.
Known as the cycling capital of Wales, Monmouthshire is the perfect backdrop for the sportive. Steeped in historic landmarks and sparkling with stunning scenery, this is sure to be the most beautiful sportive you will ever ride.
And this year there’s something brand new. For the first time, the Championship Sportive will feature multiple starting points. That means you can choose where you start from: Abergavenny, Chepstow, Monmouth or the luxurious Celtic Manor Resort. It won’t be easy to choose though, each starting point is pretty special.
We have carefully crafted routes for all abilities; a ladies only course (41 miles), bronze (20 miles), silver (50 miles) or if you want a serious test of endurance and skill, why not take on our gold? With 100 miles of road designed to push you to your very limits, including one of the UK’s most feared climbs - the Iron Mountain or Tumble, this exhilarating route is a real measure of your mettle.
Whichever route you choose, we promise you’ll be well looked after. Entries for the Championship Sportive are now open but are going fast. Sign up at www.nationalroadchamps.co.uk and ride the ‘Road of Champions’.
