August 11th 2013 will see the second edition of the Ride with Brad Sportive, with riders joining Sir Bradley Wiggins to tackle challenging routes on the quiet Lancashire lanes he regularly uses to train.
The 2012 event was a huge success, timed to bring the UK's spectacular summer of sport to a close. This year is set to be even bigger and better, with three distances available to enable riders of all abilities to ride with the Olympic Gold medallist and Tour de France champion.
On quiet lanes and challenging terrain, the 50km, 100km and 160km routes wind through some of Lancashire's most outstanding natural beauty spots including the Forest of Bowland and Ribble Valley. Riders will also be able to take on climbs featured in the Tour of Lancashire, Tour of Britain and National Road Race Championships such as Waddington Fell, Nick o' Pendle and the Trough of Bowland.
With feed stations a plenty, extensive rider support on the day from mobile mechanics and support vehicles, an event village and guaranteed support from very vocal spectators the 2013 event promises to be great.
"Come and join me on a challenging ride through the stunning Lancashire countryside and experience the roads and climbs I regularly train on. I look forward to welcoming you all and riding alongside many of you on what will be a special day for all the family." Sir Bradley Wiggins
