Witness appeal after death of cyclist in South Wales

Police believe Martin Trinder may have lost control of his bike as he descended a hill in Penarth

Police in South Wales have launched a witness appeal after a cyclist died in Penarth.

Martin Trinder, aged 25 and from Cardiff, died of injuries sustained when he came off his bike on the descent of St Augustine’s Crescent at around 5.40pm on Wednesday 16 July.

It is believed that he may have lost control of his bike.

He was taken to University Hospital Wales in Cardiff, but died there last Tuesday 22 July, reports the Penarth Times.

South Wales Police have asked anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1400256228.
