Video: Why you shouldn't ride through big puddles - Polish cyclist gets a soaking

Rider thrown over handlebars after attempting to ride through water

As you may have noticed, there is an awful lot of water around at the moment, and not just in Britain – Poland seems to have had some recent downpours too judging by the size of the puddles in this video, filmed earlier this month.

What follows is a cautionary tale in why you really shouldn’t ride through water if you don’t know what is underneath the surface – in this case, we’re guessing, a large pothole that brings a cyclist to a shuddering halt as he passes queueing traffic.

The result? He's thrown over the handlebars and sufers a good soaking, although from his reaction afterwards hopefully nothing more than his pride was hurt.

Although you can hear sound, no chuckling from the driver. Must have been a pro.
