Full Windsor have followed up their first The Nutter multi-tool with the new The Breaker which adds a chain breaker to the collection of tools neatly packaged inside a large tyre lever. It’s currently on Kickstarter where, quite staggeringly, it has exceeded its $20,000 goal in just two days, with 418 backers at the time of writing.
The big news with The Breaker is the inclusion of a chain breaker, an essential tool to have when you’re cycling in case the worst happens, you snap your chain. The chain breaker is incorporated into the top of the tool which acts as the handle, providing plenty of leverage and, says Full Windsor, offers “the functionality of a workshop chain breaker in a multi-tool.”

The chain breaker uses a tool hardened stainless steel pin so should be plenty durable, and it’s replaceable. Other things the new tool can do is be transformed into a screwdriver with a magnetic tool bit located in the tool’s end. The tool acts as a tyre lever as well, much in the same was as the first multi-tool from Full Windsor did, with the length offering good leverage to remove even stubborn tyres.

Other useful tools neatly stowed inside the multi-tool including a spoke key, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8mm hex tool bits, T25 torx bit and perhaps that most essential of multi-tool uses, a bottle opener.

When the tool isn't being used, it’s kept in a lovely leather and recycling inner tube pouch, with all the tool bits sliding into their own little pockets. The pouch is available in black or brown and is finished with the Full Windsor crest. You can save space in your jersey pocket by stowing an inner tube under the outer straps.

Even though Full Windsor have succeeded in hitting their Kickstarter funding goal, if you’re interested in the tool you can still pledge right up until 11th December when the campaign finishes. Check it out at www.kickstarter.com/projects/2008678327/the-breaker-multi-tool

But it rather depends on identifiying the suspect, and how would they do that?
No worries. In NFBUK world shared paths will be banned, so that goes away and you are back in the road .
