Vulpine holding London sample sale next weekend

Cycle clothing brand is selling off new and unique items just a stone's throw from the Spin Cycling Festival...

Cycle clothing brand Vulpine will host their “biggest ever” sample sale at the Truman Brewery in London next week, with savings of up to 80% expected.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the London-based company, whose hugely successful crowdfunding campaign last year raised more than £1m to help expand the business, will sell off new and “unique” garments from both Vulpine and HOY Vulpine lines.

The clothing sale is handy for anyone visiting the Spin Cycling Festival, which is also in the Old Truman Brewery building the same weekend.

A company spokesperson said: “The sale is a unique opportunity to save on both existing and unique garments. Stock is strictly limited and likely to sell out, so customers are encouraged to get down early to avoid disappointment.  Card payments are accepted, but savvy bargain hunters may experience shorter queues when paying by cash.”

The Vulpine summer sale will be open to the public at Shop 7, Dray Walk, 91 Brick Lane, as follows, or until stock lasts:

Friday 20th May 9am - 7pm

Saturday 21st May 10am - 6pm

Sunday 22nd May 10am - 4pm

If one more whinging Minnie from the provinces complains about how they're so bloody hard done by I think I'll scream.  Shut up, the lot of you.  Shut up about your "lovely empty country lanes" and your "people who actually talk to each other" and your "air quality" and your "quality of life" and your "customer service by someone who speaks English" and your "lower cost of living" and your "can buy a bloody coffee without it being squeezed or dripped or fondled or fawned over by some irritating hipster".

Anyway, about the sample sale.  Don't worry about missing out.  I went to the last sale here and it was all rubbish.  Horrible.  Not even nice colours.    And the discounts weren't worth bothering with.  Actually all of that is lies.  It's brilliant stuff and I bought so much I haven't even worn it all yet.  So obviously I'll have to go back and get some more.

Hi all, we considered doing a bit of a roadshow. We worked it out, and if we get anything like the response of the last shop-based sample sale 16 months ago, we'll need to move all the staff around the UK for two weeks, with transport, hotels, fish and chips X lots and that's not even taking account of the truck with stock in!

So, err, we stayed in London. Londoners are human too (I'm from Notts but been here for 19 years, so probably a Londoner)?

We've online sample sale, which was a bit nuts too, and you don't have all your staff desperately trying to put medium men's back in medium men's, not XS Womens, but there's all the gear that can't go online, because of reshooting it and loading new pages.

So, violins for me, now you know the thought process! Just boring old logistics.

People in London, with their protected Boris superhighways... they aren't even real cyclists.

That's the thing isn't it? I get an Email from Vupline of the early preview for existing customers and it's London, London, always London. So rather than being a positive thing it feels more like two fingers to the rest of us. Rapha was up in Leeds last wekeend, and whilst I didn't go because I buy Vupline stuff, it does give me a better view of their brand. Vupline being London ad nasueme actaully reduces my brand perception. One of those funny things where not doing it would have felt better. I appreciate this sounds petty (especially given they only have offices in London) but when you work so hard on brand image like Vupline, Rapha do it seems odd to ignore the hostility to London centric activity by the rest of the country!

well, they did hold a sample sale, or maybe a fete, last year i believe in Manchester - so I'd lay off them a little bit.

as for hostility towards london-centricism, have you seen their air-quality down there? and they  think Richmond park is comparable to actually being in the countryside!

They can keep their superfast internet, and 24/7 lifestyle, I'll go and find me some proper lanes to ride in 1

Nothing to do with the sale but the bit about parks is so true.

Oh my aching sides. I'd swear there are firms in Soho and Clerkenwell still on dial-up!

Serves them right for being so trendy. Where I am, there's so much fibre that my bowels open every time I go online.

Rapha are massive, it's relatively easy for them to arrange getting 10 members of staff to various places around the country for a weekend, the logistics of a smaller company like Vulpine doing this would likely be very expensive. I'm sure they only have a small fraction of 'sample' stuff to sell too when compared to Rapha so no point taking it miles away when they can likely shift it quickly at home.
