Tour de France: Team Sky launches TDF microsite plus competition to win VIP trip to Paris

Team Sky has launched a new microsite dedicated to the Tour de France on its website ahead of its debut in cycling’s biggest race in tomorrow’s Prologue in the Dutch port of Rotterdam.

The microsite, which you can find here includes interviews with all nine riders representing the British ProTour outfit in the three-week race, together with features and photos of their build-up to the event, plus a blog by Team Principal Dave Brailsford.

The microsite will be updated throughout the Tour with stage reports, reaction and photos, and the team is also running a competition to enable one lucky fan to win a pair of tickets to be whisked to and from Paris from London by Eurostar, put up in a hotel overnight and receive two VIP passes to watch the final day’s action on the Champs-Elysées on 25 July. Meanwhile, we can’t help wondering whether the design of Bradley Wiggins’ new custom-made saddle from Prologo shown in the picture above owes as much to the UCI’s recent announcement that it would be checking bikes for signs of ‘mechanical doping’ ahead of the Tour as it does to his love of all things Mod?
