Video: The Col Collective heads to Switzerland for 2017 – and also tackles Marco Pantani’s local climb

Mike Cotty and crew tackle some less well-known ascents in the Alps and also experience Norway’s midnight sun

We know that many road.cc readers enjoy the Col Collective videos in which mountain-muncher Mike Cotty tackles some of cycling’s most famous climbs as well as some less heralded ones, and provides an insight into their history and how best to tackle them.

This year’s crop of videos are currently in production, with the Col Collective releasing a teaser video that gives a glimpse of what is in store in the months ahead.

“I can't believe another season has come to a close and what a corker it’s been,” says Cotty.

“We had some mega fun exploring Switzerland's giants including the Furka, Nufenen, Gotthard and friends along with some hidden diamonds like the Sanetsch and Große Scheidegg.

“We were joined by Davide Cassani for an emotional ride up Marco Pantani's local climb Carpegna plus we were gifted with the presence of Norway's eternal midnight sun to the summit of Dalsnibba.

“These are just a handful of highlights for what has been another beautiful year of filming in the mountains.”

We’ll bring you those videos here on road.cc as and when they are released.

I wouldn't go that far - maybe just suggest it?
